If you wish to commission furniture from Bates and Lambourne, we recommend visiting us at the workshop to discuss projects. Samples of finished pieces as well as works in progress can be viewed and discussed. Where necessary, site visits can be arranged to assess particular requirements in terms of dimensions, style and function. At this stage we will work out a price for your project, based on the materials, design and style agreed. Where appropriate we may suggest a range of prices for various alternative options.
When you feel you wish to proceed, and depending on the requirements of each project, drawings may be done to confirm general layout and proportions. Once you are satisfied that the project is appropriate in all respects to your requirements, we usually request payment of a deposit in confirmation of order before commencing work.
Delivery times vary depending upon the nature of the work and the time of year, but in broad terms are usually between eight and sixteen weeks from placement of order and receipt of deposit. We request balance of payment upon receipt of goods, unless prior arrangements have been agreed.
